Things to do at Hafod Cae Maen

Local Amenities

The house is within walking distance of two fine restaurants and three cafés in Portmeirion village. A deserted beach features safe swimming at low-tide and, for those wanting extra distraction for children (or adults!), Boston Lodge Halt for the Ffestiniog narrow-gauge steam railway is a ten minute walk.

Family-friendly throughout, the house features enclosed gardens with playhouse, accessible sub-tropical woodlands and no main roads nearby. Touches such as children’s toys, cot and highchairs can also be provided, helping to ease the luggage load!

Simply put, a family could spend two weeks at Hafod Cae Maen without needing to use the car – it is the ultimate get-away.  However if you would like to get out and explore the surrounding area here are a few places of interest:

Portmeirion | Golf courses | Mountains +  rock-climbing at Tremadog
